These guys are B.A.T.S about Brambles... no they're not all going crazy but are in fact Brambles Amateur Dramatic Society and they're building up quite a name for themselves!
This has been a busy year so far. We have performed several gigs locally, noticeably for the Mayor of Horley, Simon Marshall, twice, and for Howard Bloom, the Mayor of Crawley at St. Catherine’s Hospice.
One of our BATS, Donna, “flew away” for a few months and is now back with us.
If all the girls can’t perform (Donna, Dayna, Natalie and Maddy) for some reason I will do a solo show. But if Maddy and I sing, we now call ourselves “Back to Back” and sing as a duo.
We are now planning our next big fundraising event at the Archway Theatre in Horley. This is on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th October 2009. This will include a complimentary drink, a two-course meal, coffee and mints and then we will sing for 90 minutes or so. We will have a raffle as well. Proceeds will be split between the Archway Theatre and Brambles Respite Care Centre.
On a personal note, I have just finished singing in “The Fabulous Fifties” at the Archway Theatre.
Things are going very well and we are always singing a lot of new material.
