Physiotherapy & Hydrotherapy

Physiotherapy is increasingly being recognised to be of great benefit to people affected by MS with their variety of symptoms.

Included in the fees at Brambles, we offer physiotherapy to everyone in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Following an initial assessment, treatment programmes are tailored to the needs and preferences of each individual. Progress will be monitored and treatments adjusted according to changes in a person’s condition.

We also assist guests who receive physiotherapy at home to continue their treatment programme whilst staying at Brambles.

Our physiotherapy area is well equipped with standing frames, tilt table, parallel bars, exercise bikes etc. We also have the luxury of a small hydrotherapy pool, which offers the added benefit of heat for relaxation and buoyancy for support whilst the guest exercises or is stretched in the water.

  • Improve strength and flexibility
  • Reduce spasticity, pain and stiffness
  • Promote weight bearing and mobility
  • Maintain function and independence
  • Provide information and exercise programmes

Apart from the physical benefits, having fun and socialising is seen as an important aspect of coming to the physiotherapy department by staff and guests alike.
